What is Cyklokapron Used For? Cyklokapron is used for short-term control of bleeding in hemophiliacs, including dental extraction procedures.

How To Use Cyklokapron
This product is given by vein (IV) exactly as directed over a period of 5 minutes or more. Do not mix with blood products or solutions containing penicillins. Make sure needles and any medical supplies are stored safely and disposed of properly. Consult your pharmacist.

Cyklokapron Side Effects
Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea might occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor. Very unlikely but report promptly: vision changes, dizziness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Cyklokapron Precautions
Tell your doctor your medical history, including: any allergies, kidney problems, previous blood clot problems, bleeding problems, eye problems (retina diseases/color vision), head injury (subarachnoid hemorrhage). Limit alcohol intake, as it may aggravate certain side effects of Cyklokapron. Caution is advised when performing tasks requiring coordination (e.g., driving). Cyklokapron Drug Interactions
Tell your doctor of all nonprescription or prescription medication you may use, especially of: aspirin/NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen), anticoagulants ( blood thinners such as warfarin or heparin), aminocaproic acid, factor IX complex, anti-inhibitor coagulant concentrates, drugs that can cause blood clots (e.g., estrogens or birth control pills).
