What is Adderall Used For? Adderall stimulates nerve cells in the brain. It is used to treat narcolepsy. It is also used in persons with an attention deficit disorder who show signs of hyperactivity.

How To Use Adderall
It is best to take Adderall early in the day to prevent trouble sleeping at night. Use Adderall exactly as prescribed. Do not increase your dose, take it more frequently or use it for a longer period of time than prescribed because Adderall can be habit-forming. Also, if used for an extended period of time, do not suddenly stop using Adderall without your doctor s approval. When used for an extended period, Adderall may not work as well and may require different dosing. Talk with your doctor if Adderall stops working well. Adderall Side Effects

Decongestants are commonly found in over-the-counter cough-and-cold medicine. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

Adderall Overdose
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain or cramping, restlessness, shakiness, confusion, fast or irregular heartbeat, severe or persistent headache, seizures, and loss of consciousness.

Missed Adderall Dose
If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up the dose to catch up.
