What is Albutein Used For? Albumin is the protein portion of the blood. It is important in maintaining blood volume. It is used in the treatment of shock, burns or low blood protein to temporarily correct or prevent a blood volume deficiency.

How To Use Albutein
Albutein is administered by injection into a vein. The dose and frequency of use of Albutein will be determined by your condition and response to therapy. Follow your doctor s instructions closely and be sure to ask any questions you may have about this therapy.

Albutein Side Effects
Albutein is generally well tolerated. However, allergic reactions have been reported. Discontinue use and notify your doctor if you experience any of the following symptoms while taking Albutein: fever, chills, flushing, hives, skin rash, itching, headache, nausea, breathing difficulty, rapid heart rate. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Albutein Precautions
Tell your doctor if you have: heart disease, kidney disease, liver problems, blood disorders, anemia, allergies (especially to protein). Albutein should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if Albutein appears in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Albutein Drug Interactions
Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

Albutein Overdose

Missed Albutein Dose
