What is Broncomar-1 Used For? Guaifenesin helps to loosen mucus. Theophylline acts in the lungs to improve breathing. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. This combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with the common cold, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.

How To Use Broncomar-1
Take Broncomar-1 by mouth as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. Do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed. Broncomar-1 is best taken with a full glass of water. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken after a meal or snack.

Broncomar-1 Side Effects
Dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, stomach upset, trouble sleeping or nervousness may occur the first several days as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain (angina), rapid pulse, skin rash, difficulty urinating, tremors, breathing trouble. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also, limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if Broncomar-1 causes you to feel dizzy or drowsy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Broncomar-1 Precautions
Tell your doctor if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, any allergies. Broncomar-1 should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. Since small amounts of Broncomar-1 are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Broncomar-1 Drug Interactions
Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, including: blood pressure drugs, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers or sleeping pills, cimetidine, erythromycin-like antibiotics, phenytoin, St John s wort, quinolone antibiotics, halothane, mexiletine, tacrine, barbiturates, disulfiram, thiabendazole, rifamycins, ticlopidine, oral contraceptives, beta-blockers, fluvoxamine (an SSRI antidepressant). Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

Broncomar-1 Overdose
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nervousness, agitation, fever, diarrhea, headache, trouble sleeping, nausea and vomiting, fast heartbeat, lightheadedness, tremor, hallucinations, difficulty breathing, dizziness, blurred vision, and seizure.

Missed Broncomar-1 Dose
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double-up the dose to catch up.

Broncomar-1 Storage
Store at room temperature (between 59 and 86 degrees F) away from heat and light. Do not store in the bathroom.
