What is Femcare Used For? Femcare is used to treat vaginal fungal infections.

How To Use Femcare
Follow the instructions provided with the medication. Fill the applicator that comes with the cream to the level indicated or unwrap a tablet or suppository, wet it with lukewarm water and place it on the applicator as shown in the printed instructions. Insert the applicator as directed and push the plunger to release the medication. If the applicator is reusable, pull it apart and clean it with soap and warm water after each use. Use a sanitary napkin to prevent clothing stains. Do not use a tampon since it will absorb Femcare. Do not douche without consulting your doctor. Continue to use the medication as prescribed for the full time prescribed. If you get your menstrual period, continue treatment.

Femcare Side Effects
Femcare may cause burning, stinging or itching of the skin or vagina. If these symptoms persist or get worse, contact your doctor. If your experience any of the following effects, stop using Femcare and contact your doctor: stomach cramps, skin rash, hives, headache. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Femcare Precautions
Tell your doctor if you are using a diaphragm as birth control. Some suppositories can interact with the latex in diaphragms. Femcare should be used cautiously during pregnancy only if clearly needed. It is not known if Femcare appears in breast milk. Consult with your doctor before breast-feeding.

Femcare Drug Interactions
Be sure your doctor knows what medicines you use (both prescription and nonprescription) and if you have any allergies. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

Femcare Overdose
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Femcare may be harmful if swallowed.

Missed Femcare Dose
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up the dose to catch up.

Femcare Storage
Store at room temperature away from sunlight.
