How To Use Hawthorn Extract
Take this product by mouth as directed. Follow all directions on the product package. If you are uncertain about any of the information, consult your doctor or pharmacist. If your condition persists or worsens, or if you think you may have a serious medical problem, such as heart failure or high blood pressure, seek immediate medical attention. Your condition may require prescription medication and/or medical supervision.

Hawthorn Extract Side Effects
Nausea, stomach upset, dizziness or drowsiness may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, contact your doctor promptly. Tell your doctor immediately if you have any of these unlikely but serious side effects: fatigue, sweating, unusually fast or irregular heart beat, chest pain, trouble sleeping, mental/mood changes, tremor. Hawthorn Extract Drug Interactions
Before using this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription medications you may use, especially of drowsiness-causing drugs such as: medicine for sleep (sedatives), tranquilizers, anti-anxiety drugs (e.g., diazepam), narcotic pain relievers (e.g., codeine), psychiatric medicines (e.g., phenothiazines such as chlorpromazine or tricyclics such as amitriptyline), anti-seizure drugs (e.g., carbamazepine), muscle relaxants, antihistamines that cause drowsiness (e.g., diphenhydramine). Also report the use of heart/blood pressure medications such as: beta-blockers (e.g., atenolol, metoprolol), calcium channel blockers (e.g., diltiazem, nifedipine, verapamil), ACE inhibitors (e.g., captopril, lisinopril), angiotensin blockers (e.g., losartan, valsartan), digoxin. Check the labels on all your medicines (e.g., cough-and- cold products) because they may contain drowsiness-causing ingredients. Ask your pharmacist about the safe use of those products.

Hawthorn Extract Overdose
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Missed Hawthorn Extract Dose
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.
