What is P-Ephed Hcl/chlor-Mal/scop Used For? Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. Antihistamines relieve runny nose, sneezing, itchy nose and throat and itchy, watery eyes. Anticholinergics have a drying effect on mucous secretions. This combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.

How To Use P-Ephed Hcl/chlor-Mal/scop
Take P-Ephed Hcl/chlor-Mal/scop as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. Do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed. P-Ephed Hcl/chlor-Mal/scop is best taken with a full glass of water after a meal or snack. Long-acting tablets and capsules should be swallowed whole. Do not crush or chew them or the long action may be destroyed and the chance of side effects increased.

P-Ephed Hcl/chlor-Mal/scop Side Effects
Dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, blurred vision, constipation or dry mouth, nose and eyes may occur the first several days as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, a rapid pulse, skin rash, high blood pressure, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations. If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea/vomiting, headache, weakness, disorientation, hyperactivity, restlessness, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, fast breathing, fever, hot dry and flushed skin, seizures, or coma.
