fire weather watch in effect from sunday afternoon through
sunday evening for inland portions of the florida big bend and
eastern panhandle due to long durations of low relative
humidity...
.as a cold front approaches the region today...low level moisture
will increase just enough to keep humidity levels above 35 percent
across north florida. the dry air will return on sunday in the
wake of the front. dewpoints are forecast to range from the lower
60s along the immediate coast to the upper 40s across southeast
alabama and south georgia. this will lead to long durations of
critical humidity across all inland florida zones and a fire
weather watch has been issue for this area. while humidity values
will also be quite low across ga/al...wind criteria are not
expected to be met so no headlines are necessary.
