at the following locations...
at chatham affecting morris and somerset counties
at pine brook affecting essex...morris and passaic counties
at little falls affecting essex and passaic counties
precautionary/preparedness actions...
safety message...do not attempt to drive through flooded areas. the
water may be deeper than you think.

the flood warning continues for
the passaic river at chatham.
* until this evening...or until the warning is cancelled.
* at 5:46 am friday the stage was 6.3 feet.
* flood stage is 6.0 feet.
* minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* forecast...the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
late this afternoon.
