Short Term Forecast - Grant (Oklahoma)



rain will continue through at least midnight over much of western
north texas... especially in areas west and south of archer city...
vernon... and quanah. radar just before 10 pm indicated a persistent
area of rain from near and south of the archer city and seymour
areas... west and northwest to around knox city and benjamin. this
area was rotating northwestward around an upper level low pressure
center located over west central texas. as the low moves east...
rain will likely spread farther east toward wichita falls and
henrietta. a few showers or periods of light rain also may spread
into far southern oklahoma. amounts generally will be light...
averaging less than 1/4 inch overnight... but periods of moderate to
heavy rain will occur in the general area from near and south of
seymour back toward benjamin. rainfall totals of 1/2 inch to locally
more than an inch will possible in these areas.
