an upper level low was located near the southeast corner of oklahoma. at 4 am... snow associated with this system covered much of the eastern half of oklahoma... generally near and east of i-35. some additional accumulation is likely this morning east of a line from seminole... to ada.. to madill.
meanwhile... windy conditions will continue this morning across much of the region. winds will average 20 to 25 mph with gusts over 30 mph. wherever there is snow on the ground... some drifting will occur...and visibilities may be reduced significantly at times over short distances. many untreated roads were reported to be slick and hazardous in parts of central and north central oklahoma... while roads in other areas were slick in spots.

snow and strong winds will continue through sunday...
an upper level low will track slowly through central and eastern oklahoma through sunday afternoon. the storm will continue to produce widespread light snow...and periods of moderate snow are possible east of interstate 35. northwest winds will remain strong tonight...and will become increasingly gusty during the day sunday. the combination of falling and blowing snow will maintain hazardous outdoor conditions. snow and winds will diminish beginning sunday evening.

* main impact: falling and blowing snow will reduce visibility... creating hazardous outdoor and travel conditions. new snowfall will average 1 to 3 inches. winds will remain near 20 to 25 mph tonight...but will increase during the day sunday. some gusts to around 40 mph are likely sunday afternoon.
* other impacts: wind chill temperatures in the teens.
