...wintry precipitation is possible across the guadalupe
mountains...the southeast new mexico plains...the van horn
corridor...the upper trans pecos region and the permian basin this
morning...

an upper level storm system will move across new mexico and west
texas this morning. abundant moisture and lift spreading ahead of
this feature will combine with much colder air spilling through
the region to bring a chance of wintry precipitation across
southeast new mexico...the van horn corridor...the guadalupe
mountains...the upper trans pecos region and the permian basin
this morning.

precipitation will be mainly in the form of snow across the
guadalupe mountains...the southeast new mexico plains and the
northern permian basin. snow accumulations...if any...will be
light... generally around 1 inch or less. northerly winds of 20 to
30 mph...with higher gusts may occasionally reduce the visibility
in blowing snow. farther south...a wintry mix of rain and snow
will be possible across the van horn corridor...the upper trans
pecos region and the central and southern permian basin.
