the flood warning continues for the following rivers...ohio river. at point pleasant... at huntington... at ashland...
affecting the following counties in kentucky...boyd...greenup and in ohio... gallia...lawrence and in west virginia...cabell...mason...wayne.
water from recent heavy rains will continue to flow into the ohio river. steady rises will continue.
precautionary/preparedness actions...
turn around and don`t drown. do not drive into areas where water is flowing over the roadway. most deaths occur when motorists try crossing flooded roads.

the flood warning continues for the ohio river at huntington. * from this afternoon to wednesday morning...or until the warning is cancelled. * at 4:00 am monday the stage was 47.0 feet. * minor flooding is forecast. * flood stage is 50.0 feet. * forecast...rise above flood stage by this afternoon and continue to rise to near 50.6 feet by after midnight . the river will fall below flood stage by wednesday morning. * at stages near 51.0 feet...west virginia route 60 east, main street, above pats branch is flooded. * a crest near 50.6 feet compares to a previous crest of 51.8 feet on january 10 2005.
